Did you know that every year Smithsonian Media sponsors FREE museum days from participating museums across the country? All you have to do is visit their website, select the museum you’d like to visit and print a coupon once it’s emailed to you. The coupon will entitle you and a guest to enter the museum for FREE, which is a great way to stretch those dollars! It’s that easy.
Questions? You can learn more about this free day on the FAQ’s page.
If you’re a homeschool family, you may also be interested in saving money by visiting attractions on special days created just for us. I’ve included a partial list in my post, Save Money Attending Homeschool Days.
sounds like a blast...!!!

Thanks so much for letting us know about this. I think we might take a trip to The High in Atlanta. They have a new Dali exhibit.

Diane, If you're interested in the Dali exhibit, you may want to check out the Educator Night offered at the High: http://www.alabamahomeschooling.com/2010/08/august-26-atlanta-evening-for-educators.html

Field trips are great! This is not in the same area, but Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO has a homeschool weekend. We have not been but it looks awesome. I hope to go this year.
