A Few Ideas for Free Summer Fun!
Our local public schools have embarked on their summer break here in Northern Alabama and as a result the local attractions are gearing up for some wonderful, fun summer programs that my family is eager to check out and hopefully participate in. From guided nature walks to day camps to summer reading programs to movies in the park, it seems like everyone in the community has something going on and you know what? Many of these programs are low cost or FREE!
I know you don’t all live in my neck of the woods, so I’ve scoured the internet to find free programs that may be accessible to you wherever you call home.
My family are huge fans of the National Parks and we visit every chance we get. Do you know that they will be offering several free days this summer? You can go here for a list of dates and more information. Of course, many of the parks offer free or low-cost admission on a daily basis.
Did you know that Target offers Free or discounted admission to arts and cultural museums and events in various cities across the United States?
