This post is linked to OhAmanda and her Top Ten Tuesday link-up.
Disclaimer: My family was invited to Callaway Gardens, with a group of bloggers, for an expense paid getaway to check out one of the newest attractions, TreeTop Adventure in exchange for sharing our experiences on my blog and on Twitter. The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not influenced by Callaway Gardens. We enjoyed our visit so much that we extended our stay (at our cost) one night to make sure we didn’t miss anything. Be sure to stop back later in the week as I share more detailed experiences from our visit.
Oh, I'm so glad that you posted about Callaway Gardens. I read about it years ago via Birds & Blooms (I think) and I can remember thinking what a great place it would be to visit.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get a chance to go though and it had slipped my mind. Now, I've got it on my radar again. Yay!
A friend of mine recommended that we visit the Christmas light display last
ReplyDeleteyear- one of the best in the South- but we never made it. I was so excited
when we were offered the chance to go but my husband and kids had no idea
what to expect and weren't excited at all...until we got there. They LOVED
it and we can't wait to go back when we can stay and play longer.
Ahem...maybe the upcoming homeschool day would be a good time to plan a
visit? I know one is in the works and I'll be sure to post details when they
are available.
I think I've heard about their Christmas light display too. And I am a HUGE fan of Christmas lights! :O)
ReplyDeleteI'll be looking forward to your entry about the homeschool day. I know my guys would love the Tree Top experience and so many of the other things as well.
I'm hoping to head back around Christmas to see the lights and relax in one
ReplyDeleteof the cottages. Doesn't that just sound perfect?
I'll be posting specifically about the TreeTop Adventure later in the
week...with a short video. :)
Wow. We always talked about going there when we lived in Georgia. I only knew about the butterfly gardens and nature hikes though. It sounds awesome - we'll have to go if we move back there!
ReplyDeleteThey've just added the TreeTop Adventure, Blaster Boats, Aqua Island and
ReplyDeleteLight Striker Laser Guns and haven't really started advertising them yet.
There is so much to do and keep you busy. We didn't even have time to
discover half of it.
We got rained out on Saturday and headed back to our hotel room and believe
it or not, we'd packed so much into the day that my 16 year old fell asleep
and took a 2 hour nap! lol You just don't see that everyday! :)
as I'm reading this, all I keep thinking is my hunni would love this because it's so 'outdoorsy' .. and I would love it because of the butterflies! That picture you have is really cool!
