I am thrilled that you've stopped by to visit! If this is your first time to Live the Adventure, Welcome! My name is Tonya and I'm currently on quite the adventure. Four years ago, the Lord opened the doors for my family to begin traveling with my husband's job. Something we had always dreamed of, but never imagined would happen. After spending nearly 3 years in and out of hotel rooms and temporary apartments, we finally decided we needed something a bit more permanent. We broke down and bought a used, older, but new-to-us 31 foot RV that is now home for us, our three teenagers and our faithful travel companion, our adopted pound puppy.
This blog is a place for me to write about our adventures homeschooling, traveling and just about anything else that pops in my mind. I share travel tips, interesting stories of life on the road, like when our sewer got clogged or my weekly Field Trip Friday posts.
Recently we've decided that it's time to settle down for a bit so we're looking for more permanent housing. Don't worry, we still have lots of adventures planned, a trip to Chattanooga this weekend, a cruise in August and hopefully a trip out West this fall. It sounds like we're settling down, doesn't it? Besides, I'm looking forward to putting my decorating skills back to use.
In addition to traveling, I enjoy attending museums, hiking, playing games and watching movies with my family. When I have some time to myself, I enjoy blogging, reading, snapping pictures and shopping at thrift stores and used book stores.
