Ten years ago, I went from living a normal active life to not being able to get out of bed almost overnight. Today I’m sharing How to Minister to a Sick Friend at The Homeschool Classroom, as a result of that experience. I hope you stop by and share any tips that I may have forgotten.

Great blog Tonya! Wonderful ideas to assist someone who is sick and show them how much you care.
ReplyDeleteI've been sick for 5 years now (Lupus/Fibro/CFS). My little girl and I have basically been on our own as I have not had the gift of understanding, sympathy and support you found. I have been met with disbelief, doubt, and rudeness. It has been so very hard. It is bad enough to be sick, but when those who you thought loved you turn their back on you, it is very, very difficult. But my daughter and I have God and each other, so we are blessed. I know that you are grateful that your friends and family surrounded you and your husband/children with so much love.
I also go from being thankful for being able to get out of bed in the morning to being angry that I cannot do all the things I want and need to do. Being sick has definitely shown me what is important in life. And what is so definitely not.
So glad that you are better now...

It was so good to hear from you. Yes, Grace has matured over the past year. So glad you and your family are settling in to your new home. Can't wait to hear about the upcoming garden.
